Our Story - Lamboville Library

Our History

We did not set out to build a library. We set out to homeschool our children. That desision came from a desire every parent knows too well—to see their children not only simply succeed, but thrive as full human beings. We had no idea that decision would become the seed of everything else that followed. We simply began. Almost immediately, we discovered the extraordinary power of the right book in the right hands at the right moment.

So we began to curate, intentionally and without compromise. One book at a time. Not simply academic books, but books that helped our children make sense of the world, gave language to difficult topics, formed good character, awakened imagination, and strengthened our family.

Other homeschooling families began finding their way to us, asking about books, curriculum, and the questions they were navigating in their own homes. What had begun as a resource for our family was becoming something the community needed. The library outgrew our home before we had a name for it.

So, we formalized what had been growing in our home for years under the name, EducateRight. We registered it as a 501(c)(3) organization. It served as a community resource for other homeschooling families. We gave book scholarships, organized field trips, and shared our knowledge. We served with the conviction that families should never have to navigate the work of educating their children alone, that a deeply human home, rooted in love and sustained by community, is the most powerful institution on earth.

The Present

Something shifted. Not the conviction, our conviction is still the same. But the model did.

In 2024, we made a decision. EducateRight became Lamboville Library, a for-profit social enterprise built to serve families on our own terms. We became accountable only to the people we serve, who trust us, not the ones who funds us. The freedom that came with that decision changed everything for the better.

Twenty years of curated books sit on our shelves and we are still answering the same questions many families are asking. What do we need to read to thrive? What story reaches the child the world has overlooked? What book starts the conversation parents don’t know how to begin? What book strengthens the marriage fraying under the weight of life? Most importantly, what protects our humanity?

Today, Lamboville Library is a testament to our original conviction. It is what happens when families choose intention over convenience. When they decide that in the middle of everything changing, they will hold the most important things dear: their humanity, relationships, traditions, and the conviction that thoughtful choices, not the forces shaping the modern world, should determine the direction of their lives.

Our Hope For The Future

We want to build a way of being. A way of being present in your own home. A way of being intentional about what enters your children’s imagination. Rooted when the world is shifting. Connected to a community that knows your name, that shows up not just for the celebrations but for the hard Tuesdays nobody posts about.

Institutions can be defunded. People’s jobs can be taken away. But a way of being, once it takes root in a household, in a marriage, in a child before a culture of death shapes their mind, it cannot be taken away. It travels. It reproduces. It outlasts every disruption this age can conjure.

In an age of information without wisdom, connectivity without belonging, convenience over intention, and a race to become what we’re not ready for, we choose something more divine. And we work every day to make that choice as accessible as possible for other families who choose it as well.

That is a way of being. It is what Lamboville Library is cultivating, for now and for the future.
