Membership fees are charged monthly or annually depending on the option selected at the time of joining. Payments are processed automatically on the same date each month or year. If payment is not received within that period your membership will be suspended and your borrowing privileges paused until payment is resolved.

Lamboville Library reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership where a member has:
- Violated these Terms of Use
- Damaged, lost, or failed to return borrowed materials after repeated reminders
- Behaved in a manner that is disrespectful, harmful, or threatening toward our staff, volunteers, partners, or other members
- Provided false information at the time of joining

4. Library Borrowing Terms
4.1 Borrowing Eligibility
Borrowing privileges are available to members in good standing — meaning their account is active and their membership fees are current.
4.2 Borrowing Limits
Monthly members may borrow one book at a time during the first three months of their membership. This introductory borrowing period allows us to welcome new members gradually and ensure the best possible experience for our whole community. From the first day of the fourth month of membership monthly members may borrow up to three books at a time. Annual Patron members may borrow up to three books at a time immediately from the first day of their membership — with no introductory period. Lamboville Library reserves the right to adjust borrowing limits at any time with appropriate written notice to members. Current borrowing limits for each membership tier are always displayed on our membership page at lambovillelibrary.com.
4.3 Loan Period
The standard loan period is two weeks from the date of collection. One renewal is permitted per item where no reservation has been placed on that item by another member. Renewals may be requested in person, by email, or through our online member portal.
4.4 Overdue Items
Items not returned or renewed within the two-week loan period are considered overdue. Lamboville Library does not charge overdue fines. We believe in the generosity of our community and trust our members to honour the borrowing agreement they made when they joined. Where an item is not returned by its due date we will send a first reminder by email. Where the item remains outstanding seven days after the first reminder we will send a second and final reminder by email. Where borrowed items are not returned or renewed following two reminders — membership will be terminated with immediate effect. The member will be notified of the termination by email. Terminated members will not be eligible to rejoin Lamboville Library until all outstanding items have been returned in good condition. Lamboville Library reserves the right to pursue the recovery of unreturned items through appropriate legal channels where necessary.
4.5 Lost or Damaged Items
Members are responsible for the care of all borrowed items from the time of collection to the time of return. Items that are returned in a condition worse, dirty, torn, than when borrowed — or that are lost — will be assessed and the member may be required to cover the cost of replacement. The replacement cost will be communicated before any charge is made. We ask all members to treat our books with the care they deserve. These books belong to the whole community.
4.6 Reservations
Members may reserve items online through our library catalogue. Reserved items will be held for five business days from the date the reservation is ready for collection. Items not collected within this period will be returned to general circulation.
5. Programme and Event Terms
5.1 Registration
Registration for Lamboville Library programmes and events is required unless otherwise stated. Registration confirms your place but does not guarantee entry in the event of exceptional circumstances.
5.2 Payment for Programmes and Events
Where a programme or event carries a fee payment is required at the time of registration to secure your place. Your place is not confirmed until payment is received.
5.3 Cancellation by Member
Where a member cancels their programme or event registration Lamboville Library does not issue refunds under any circumstances. We do not offer full or partial refunds regardless of how far in advance a cancellation is made. Where a member cancels their registration more than 48 hours before the event a credit to the value of the registration fee will be applied to their account and may be used toward any future Lamboville Library programme or event. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Where a member cancels their registration less than 48 hours before the event no credit will be issued. We understand that genuine emergencies happen. Where a cancellation is due to a medical emergency or serious unforeseen circumstance please contact us at lambovillelibrary@gmail.com and we will consider each situation individually and with compassion.
5.4 Cancellation by Lamboville Library
Where Lamboville Library cancels a programme or event due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to severe weather, illness, or force majeure — we will notify all registered participants as soon as reasonably possible and issue a full refund or credit at the member’s preference.
5.5 Conduct at Events
All attendees at Lamboville Library programmes and events are expected to conduct themselves with respect, warmth, and consideration for others. Lamboville Library reserves the right to ask any person to leave an event where their behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, harmful, or inconsistent with the values of our community. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
5.6 Children at Events
Children attending Lamboville Library events must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times unless the programme is specifically designed for drop-off attendance and this has been confirmed in writing in advance. Lamboville Library operates a strict child safeguarding policy. Any child found unaccompanied or in circumstances that give us reasonable cause for concern about their safety or welfare will be attended to immediately by a member of our team. We reserve the right and accept the responsibility to contact the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) or emergency services where we deem it necessary for the safety of a child. The welfare of every child in our community takes precedence over all other considerations.

No — I did not include those two clauses. Here they are written specifically for Lamboville Library and ready to add to your Terms of Use:
17. Accuracy and Personal Responsibility
Lamboville Library has made every effort to ensure that the information provided on this website — and in any resources, guides, digital products, or downloadable materials available through our services — is accurate, helpful, and of genuine value to our community. However we cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any information we provide.
Neither Lamboville Library nor any of its owners, directors, staff, volunteers, or agents shall be held liable or responsible for any errors or omissions on this website or in our materials — or for any harm, loss, or damage you may suffer as a result of acting on information found here without first seeking competent professional advice from a qualified individual who is familiar with your specific situation.
By using this website and our services you accept full personal responsibility for the results of your actions. You agree to take responsibility for any harm or damage you suffer as a result of the use — or non-use — of any information available on this website or through any resource available for download or purchase from Lamboville Library. You agree to exercise your own judgment and conduct appropriate due diligence before taking any action or implementing any plan, practice, or recommendation encountered through our website or services.
This applies particularly — but not exclusively — to any information relating to education, homeschooling, child development, reading recommendations, financial decisions, publishing, health and wellbeing, and community programmes. Lamboville Library is a library and community organisation — not a licensed educational institution, medical provider, legal adviser, or financial adviser. Where professional advice is needed we strongly encourage you to seek it.
18. No Guarantees as to Results
Lamboville Library provides curated books, educational programmes, community resources, digital products, and publishing services that are intended to enrich the lives of the families we serve. We are deeply committed to the quality and value of everything we offer. However we make no guarantees — express or implied — about the specific results you or your family will experience from using our services, borrowing our books, attending our programmes, or implementing any ideas or recommendations encountered through Lamboville Library.
Your outcomes — educational, personal, financial, or otherwise — will be the result of your own efforts, your particular circumstances, your family’s unique needs, and innumerable other factors beyond the knowledge or control of Lamboville Library. You acknowledge that prior results experienced by other members or participants — whether shared as testimonials, case studies, or community stories — do not guarantee that you or any other person or family will achieve similar results. Every family is different. Every season is different. We offer our best — and we trust you to bring yours.
Nothing in this clause limits our liability for any matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
